PT: A International Conference on Motivation – ICM 2026 – dá continuidade à tradição bienal de reunir investigadores do SIG 8 – Motivation and Emotions e outros especialistas na área. Com o tema “Affective Dynamics in Uncertain Times: Understanding Motivation and Emotions”, a conferência centra-se na partilha de investigação sobre o papel da motivação e das emoções na aprendizagem, especialmente em contextos marcados pela mudança e incerteza. A ICM 2026 promove a reflexão sobre os fatores pessoais e situacionais que influenciam o desempenho académico e a eficácia de estratégias educativas. Organizada pelo Ispa / EDUNOVA.ISPA em colaboração com o SIG 8 da EARLI (European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction), esta edição representa uma oportunidade estratégica para afirmar a instituição no panorama internacional da investigação em Educação e Psicologia da Educação. Além disso, a conferência incluirá uma Summer School dedicada a doutorandos, promovendo o intercâmbio científico e o desenvolvimento de competências em investigação.

This year’s theme invites us to collectively reflect on the complex roles of motivation and emotions in a time marked by uncertainty and rapid change, drawing on existing theoretical and empirical knowledge to better understand current challenges and to shape future directions in research, teaching, and learning.
